YHA Australia is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for YHA Sydney Central, located in the heart of Sydney. The role focuses on maintaining clean, welcoming dorms and private rooms, with access to shared kitchens and common areas.

You will join a friendly team with a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays, and will enjoy travel benefits and staff discounts as part of the YHA network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or as a Housekeeper, Room Attendant, or in commercial cleaning.
• Willingness to work as part of a fun, busy team.
• Flexible availability for a 24/7 roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays (minimum 15 hours per week).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

YHA Sydney Central

YHA Sydney Central is located the heart of the city centre and close to all the action. This award-winning hostel, with indoor pool offers guests panoramic views of the city from the rooftop outdoor area. YHA Sydney Central offers shared dormitory accommodation as well as private rooms. The property has two commercial kitchens, spacious dining rooms, an underground bar, cinema room, cafe and lounge areas and a guest laundry.

About the role

Our housekeeping team plays a crucial role in maintaining the property's cleanliness and upholding the high standards expected of YHA properties.

What we’re looking for

Previous experience in housekeeping or as a Housekeeper, Room Attendant, or in commercial cleaning

Willingness to work as part of a fun, busy team

Flexible availability for a 24/7 roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. (This is a part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
