The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Melbourne is seeking a Projects Officer to provide a critical role within the System Performance Branch. This fixed-term, full-time opportunity supports Corrections Victoria's objectives and contributes to safer prisons and communities.

The role requires managing written correspondence, investigating and verifying complaints, and preparing comprehensive responses, with a focus on liaising with prison staff and other stakeholders.

Formación

• There are no mandatory qualifications for this role; however, experience and understanding of the prison system and guiding legislation and policy is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare complex written correspondence.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to the management of the correspondence portfolio by recording correspondence, verifying complaints, responding to requests and providing comprehensive responses to complex verbal and written enquiries from people including those in custody, their families and legal representatives.
• Consult and liaise with key stakeholders and relevant prison staff to gather information about identified issues, to respond effectively to correspondence.
• Provide analysis and interpretation of information using relevant prison information systems such as PIMS and E Justice.
