Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety seeks a Senior Projects Officer, Strategy and Policy to drive in-cell technology policy for Corrections Victoria. Based at Barwon Prisons Lara and also Melbourne's Exhibition Street, you will develop, review and amend operational policies and prepare briefings for executives and ministers.

You will engage internal and external stakeholders, apply strong policy analysis, and coordinate statewide initiatives to enhance safety and rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in high-quality written material and analysis.
• Experience engaging internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of Corrections Victoria operations is desirable.
• Public policy or criminal justice background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational policy review, amendment, and development relating to in-cell technology.
• Prepare high-level briefs and reports for CV executives and ministers.
• Coordinate ad hoc policy projects, including statewide implementations.
• Work from Barwon Prisons Precinct Lara and Melbourne office, onsite at locations.
