Job summary

Ambition Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable professional to lead end-to-end AP in a high-volume environment, with SAP-based processing and supplier reconciliations.

You will contribute to a finance transformation, support month-end close, and collaborate with stakeholders in a flexible hybrid role with one day work-from-home.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in Accounts Payable.
• Strong AP knowledge, controls and compliance.
• Experience in fast-paced, growing environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable in a high-volume setting.
• Process invoices and run payments using SAP.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries.
• Maintain AP ledger accuracy and comply with controls.
• Support month-end close, accruals and reporting.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and manage supplier relationships.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

THE ROLE

• End-to-end accounts payable in a high-volume environment
• Invoice processing and payment runs using SAP
• Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
• Maintain AP ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with controls
• Support month-end close, accruals and reporting requirements
• Manage supplier relationships and liaise with internal stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to approval frameworks and financial policies
• Drive process improvements and support automation initiatives

THE PERSON

• 4+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong understanding of AP processes, controls and compliance
• Experience working in a fast-paced, growing or changing environment
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements
• High attention to detail with strong time management skills
