Job summary

NSW Public Works is seeking a detail‑oriented Project Support Officer in Lismore to back project delivery and daily operations. You will assist Project Managers, manage contracts and records, and support staff onboarding and WHS initiatives.

Based in Lismore, you will coordinate with contractors and suppliers, handle multiple software systems, and help maintain orderly records while ensuring compliance with NSW Public Works policies.

Qualifications

• Experience providing project, contractor or business administrative support.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of purchase to pay, procurement, financial processes, and reporting.
• Ability to learn and use multiple software systems including Microsoft 365, CM25 and MyWorkZone.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and operational administration support to Project Managers and project teams.
• Assist with property and fleet management, staff training and WHS activities, onboarding and staff engagement.
• Act as the primary site contact for stakeholders, contractors and suppliers and coordinate works to minimise disruption.
• Maintain accurate records and databases and ensure compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
