Job summary

JAG-x is partnering with an international Maritime and Defense Technology leader to recruit a Project Administrator for our Fremantle office. The role supports the Project Delivery Team deploying the DISP within the Australian Defence Force, with emphasis on security compliance and documentation control.

Applicants must have experience with the Australian Defence Force, ideally naval, and Australian citizenship for security clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience working for the Australian Defence Force, ideally naval, but other ADF departments will be considered.
• Drive continuous improvement within the department while ensuring administrative controls meet Management System requirements.
• Support security compliance activities and audits, coordinating actions from security reviews.
• Maintain project controls documentation, including document control implementation and administration.
• Report against project budgets and contribute to finance reports.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Delivery Team implementing and maintaining the DISP within the Australian defence force (Naval).
• Ensure DISP framework and company Security Policies and Plans compliance across all projects.
• Input and upkeep of project controls documentation including technical Document Control.
• Produce progress updates and input to budget/finance reports as required.
• Maintain high attention to detail and a methodical approach under pressure.

The Opportunity:

Our client is an international Maritime and Defense Technology company with facilities across the globe. They deliver technology solutions across all marine sectors including Merchant, Offshore, Subsea, Navel and Defense.

We are seeking a Project Administrator to support the Project Delivery Team who are implementing and maintaining the new Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) within the Australian defence force (Naval).

Due to the nature of this work, we are specifically looking for someone who has worked within the Australian Defence Force, ideally naval however all ADF would be considered.

You must be an Australia Citizen to be considered for this position; due to the nature of this work, you will be required to undergo high level security clearances to gain access to the databases and sites they operate across.

The Requirements:

• Current or passed experience working for the Australian Defence Force, ideally the Royal Navy, however, we will consider other ADF departments
• This role is fast paced; you will assist drive continuous improvement within the department making sure administrative controls within all projects remain compliant Management System requirements
• Supporting security compliance activities and audits, coordinating actions arising from security reviews, assessments and gap analyses.
• Ensuring key reporting and record-keeping requirements are identified, maintained and controlled in accordance with the DISP framework and company Security Policies and Plans.
• Input and upkeep of project controls documentation including technical Document Control implementation and administration
• Reporting against the project budget, providing progress status and input to finance reports where required
• “High Attention to Detail” is essential along with a clam a methodical approach to processes and procedures, clam under pressure

• Base Salary range $90k – $100k + Super (13.5%)
• Permanent full-time position
• Only Work 35hrs per week Monday to Friday at their Fremantle office
• One paid RDO Day can be taken each month at a time to suit you, given you and extra 12 days leave per year
