Job summary

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Supervisor / Project Engineer for a hands-on, site-based role at a Central Queensland coal mining operation. You will oversee infrastructure upgrades and coordinate contractor works to drive projects through to completion.

This 3–6 month contract offers an hourly rate, DIDO from Mackay, Emerald or Rockhampton, and a nine-day fortnight. You will manage safety, quality, schedules and project handover, with ownership of multiple site

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Supervisor, Project Engineer or Project Manager in mining, construction or heavy industry.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate site works.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to take ownership of existing projects and deliver to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple site infrastructure projects at a coal mining operation.
• Manage contractor supervision and coordination on site.
• Monitor safety, quality, and project delivery against schedules.
• Support project handover and closeout.

Project Supervisor – Site Infrastructure Central Queensland | Coal Mining | 3–6 Month Contract (potential extension)

We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor / Project Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure upgrades at an established coal mining operation in Central Queensland.

This is a hands‑on, site‑based role suited to someone who enjoys managing contractors, coordinating works and driving projects through to completion.

About the Role

You’ll oversee several existing site infrastructure projects, including:

• Sewage treatment plant upgrades
• Workshop and facilities improvements
• General mine-site infrastructure projects
• Contractor supervision and coordination
• Managing safety, quality, schedules and project delivery
• Supporting project handover and closeout

About You

• Experience as a Project Supervisor, Project Engineer or Project Manager
• Background in mining, construction or heavy industry
• Strong contractor management and site execution experience
• Civil, mechanical or site infrastructure project exposure
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable taking ownership of existing projects
