Job summary

RecruitShop is seeking a Queensland-based State Lead to drive propping and temporary works across the state from Brisbane. You’ll own the project results, revenue, margin and customer experience with support from Projects Engineers and installation teams.

The successful candidate will manage the pipeline, lead tender responses, and nurture relationships with project managers, site managers and engineers. A White Card and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Proven record of winning project, construction or engineering services work
• Construction or engineering background with ability to read drawings
• Experience with tender processes and contract management
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in CRM/ERP and project management systems

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Queensland project pipeline, ensuring a minimum of 3x quarterly revenue target at all times
• Lead tender responses from brief to submission, including management of EstimateOne
• Prospect new builders and contractors to grow the state's key accounts
• Establish relationships with project managers, site managers, and engineers
• Engage early with customers to understand site constraints and provide practical solutions
• Coordinate with installation teams and manage project communication through to completion
• Monitor HubSpot and pipeline data, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performance metrics

About The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll drive project work across the state from a Brisbane base, reporting to the National Manager and leading a team of installation supervisors. You’ll own the state project result, including revenue, margin and customer experience, with the support of Projects Engineers and install teams. You’ll be:

• Building and maintaining the Queensland project pipeline, ensuring a minimum of 3x quarterly revenue target at all times.
• Leading tender responses from brief to submission, including management of EstimateOne.
• Proactively prospecting new builders and contractors to grow the state's key accounts.
• Establishing and nurturing relationships with project managers, site managers, and engineers.
• Engaging early with customers to understand site constraints and providing practical solutions.
• Coordinating with installation teams and managing project communication through to completion.
• Monitoring HubSpot and pipeline data, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performance metrics.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A proven record of winning project, construction or engineering services work, with evidence of wins, values and customers
• A construction or engineering background, with a sound understanding of structural and temporary works systems and the ability to read engineering drawings
• Experience with tender processes and contract management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong proficiency in CRM, ERP and project management systems

You will also have:

• A current White Card (Construction Induction) and driver's licence
• Desirable: experience with propping, shoring, formwork or scaffold systems, and existing relationships with Queensland builders and contractors
• Desirable: a trade qualification, Cert IV, diploma or degree in engineering, construction or building
