ZOOM Recruitment partners with an established Queensland construction business to recruit an experienced Project Manager for North and Central Queensland. Lead end-to-end delivery from award to handover, managing programme, budgets, contracts and client relationships.

You’ll oversee multiple projects across Cairns to Rockhampton, driving safety, quality and profitability while leading site teams and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and delivery.
• Proven experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
• Understanding of contracts and contract administration.
• Leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience with construction/project management software.
• Current Construction Industry White Card.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Qualifications in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or related discipline highly regarded.

ZOOM Recruitment is partnering with an established Queensland construction business to recruit an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of commercial construction projects across North and Central Queensland.

This is a genuine end-to-end Project Management opportunity where you'll lead projects from award through to practical completion and handover, with responsibility across programme, commercial performance, contracts, client relationships, safety and quality.

With projects spanning Cairns to Rockhampton and regional Queensland, we're looking for an experienced construction professional who enjoys being close to the action, leading teams and driving successful project outcomes.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing construction projects from commencement through to completion
  
• Developing project delivery strategies, programmes and schedules
  
• Managing project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and profitability
  
• Tracking labour, plant, subcontractor and material costs
  
• Managing variations, EOTs and contractual notices
  
• Coordinating subcontractor procurement and performance
  
• Managing head contracts and subcontract agreements
  
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients
  
• Leading Site Supervisors and project teams
  
• Monitoring programme, quality, safety and project risk
  
• Conducting site inspections and project reviews
  
• Driving practical completion, defects management and handover

You’ll have the autonomy to make informed commercial decisions while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For

You're an experienced construction Project Manager who combines strong delivery capability with commercial awareness and leadership skills.

Ideally, you bring

• 10+ years’ Project Management experience within commercial construction
  
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery
  
• Proven experience managing project budgets and financial reporting
  
• Sound understanding of construction contracts and contract administration
  
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  
• Experience with construction/project management software
  
• Current Construction Industry White Card
  
• Current Driver's Licence

Qualifications in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded, along with experience across government, education, commercial, retail or industrial projects.
