Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Operations – Physical Security is seeking Project Security Officers to support security management on an upcoming project. These site-based roles require independent handling, clear communication, and delivery of security services under project requirements.

Role emphasizes collaboration with security leaders, incident management, and adherence to PSPF guidelines to ensure compliant, secure facilities during construction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in Physical Security Operations.
• Knowledge of Physical Security best practices, including incident management.
• Experience managing security operations in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the AWS primary security liaison with Regional Security Manager, Data Centre Security Manager, client security representatives, certifying authorities and other relevant personnel.
• Provide comprehensive security oversight throughout the construction phase, ensuring delivery of fit-for-purpose facilities through security reviews.
• Collation of security assurance reports and tracking of security-related issues and incidents.
• Appropriate management, response and recording of any security issues or incidents per the Security Response Plan.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with project security requirements, identifying risks and implementing mitigations.
• Facilitate meetings with clients, resolve issues, and report on security compliance.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail with a process-driven approach.
• Understand the Australian Government PSPF framework.
• Maintain relevant security clearances and accreditations as per project requirements.
