Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security in Canberra is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to own schedules, reporting and planning across a complex defence program. You will work closely with project leadership to ensure schedules are accurate, risks are visible and reporting stays on track month to month.

This role requires onsite work in Canberra (min. 3 days/week) after an initial 6 month period, with a focus on Open Plan Professional (OPP) scheduling, WBS and coordinating monthly project

Qualifications

  • Current NV1 security clearance (minimum).
  • Senior scheduling experience using Open Plan Professional (OPP).
  • Demonstrated scheduling experience on major projects.
  • Ability to work onsite in Canberra a minimum of 3 days per week after an initial period of 6 month onsite full time.
  • Previous experience in a Defence project environment (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules using Open Plan Professional (OPP).
  • Coordinate and support monthly project reporting across the team.
  • Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and communicate schedule risks to project leadership.
  • Support planning and baselining activities for projects moving through approval.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Scheduler to join a Defence program team based in Canberra. This is a great opportunity for a scheduling professional to take ownership of project schedules, reporting and planning across a complex, multi-project environment.

You'll work closely with project leadership and the wider delivery team, keeping schedules accurate, risks visible and reporting on track month to month.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules using Open Plan Professional (OPP)
