Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Project Safety Advisor to join our SA Construction team in Adelaide. You will support the WHSE Manager and Site Manager, drive safety, environmental and quality policies, and assist in implementing the Project Safety Management Plan.

Responsibilities include reviewing subcontractor Safe Work Method Statements and communicating health and safety information across sites, with opportunities to deliver training sessions on safety topics.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Experience in construction, OHS, safety or related disciplines is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrated autonomous work style with sound judgment.
• Proven teamwork and confidentiality in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Undertake WHSE duties as directed by the WHSE Manager and Site Manager.
• Drive safety, environment and quality policies in line with management plans and OH&S requirements.
• Assist with development and implementation of the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Review Safe Work Method Statements from subcontractors prior to works.
• Disseminate health, safety and environment information to relevant personnel.
