Job summary

BESIX Watpac in Adelaide, South Australia, invites an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our on-site team on major construction programmes. You will coordinate on-site engineering activities to meet time and budget objectives, liaise with site managers, safety officers, and project staff, and advance quality, environment and method plans.

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in construction or engineering, demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in construction or engineering.
Excellent communication skills with a sound understanding of project documents.
Strong relationship building and organisation skills in high‑pressure environments.
Prior experience on commercial building projects is required.

Responsibilities

Report to the Project Manager and liaise with Site Managers, Foreman, safety officer and site administration.
Prepare and monitor project plans including quality, environment and methods plans.
Attend hand‑over and start‑up meetings and manage quality levels and defects.
Identify resources and assist startup to acquire them while maximizing productivity.
Handle cost management and reporting including cash flow, variations and claims.
