Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Project Safety Advisor to join our SA Construction team in Adelaide, delivering major projects across the region. You will drive health, safety and environment practices, implement the Project Safety Management Plan, and review subcontractor safety documentation.

The role requires a Cert IV in Work Health & Safety, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work autonomously as part of a team committed to high standards of safety and

Qualifications

• Must hold a Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Other qualifications in Construction, OHS, Safety or related disciplines are beneficial.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business with a strong internal customer focus.
• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative and sound reasoning.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proven high level of professionalism, maturity, candour, and confidentiality in daily work ethic.
• Ability to deliver small training sessions on Safety Inductions, Critical Incident Management, etc.

Responsibilities

• Undertake WHSE duties as directed by the WHSE Manager and Site Manager.
• Proactively drive safety, environment and quality policies and procedures in compliance with Management Plans and OH&S requirements.
• Assist with development and implementation of the Project Safety Management Plan.
• Assist in reviewing Safe Work Method Statements provided by subcontractors.
• Facilitate dissemination of health, safety and environment information to relevant personnel.
