Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Quality Engineer (Customer & Projects) to lead customer and project quality assurance across ANZ from early engagement through delivery and service handover. You will translate requirements into project quality controls and drive issue resolution.

The role collaborates with Engineering, PM, Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and related standards; experience in electrical or power distribution equipment is desirable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Customer Quality, Project Quality, or Quality Engineering in electrical/engineered-product environments.
• Experience translating customer requirements into project quality controls and deliverables.
• CQE certification or equivalent is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Industrial).
• Knowledge of quality methodologies (8D, RCA, FMEA) and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer and project quality activities across the ANZ lifecycle from tender through service handover.
• Review customer specs and contractual quality requirements and translate into controls and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project Quality Plans, acceptance criteria, and quality gates.
• Conduct quality reviews for high-risk projects to mitigate impacts.
• Coordinate quality activities for testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Lead customer complaint resolution and structured problem solving (8D, RCA).
• Act as the primary Quality representative for customer communications and escalations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, PM, Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
