NSW Department of Customer Service is seeking a Project Officer, Governance for the Closing the Gap PR4 program. This temporary clerical-grade role focuses on coordinating secretariat functions, governance planning, and cross-agency collaboration to support Aboriginal communities and ACCOs across NSW.

The Closing the Gap Priority Reform 4 (PR4) Program, within NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS), is currently looking for a Project Officer, Governance to join their team!
Between 2025-28 the Department of Customer Service (DCS) will work in partnership with Aboriginal Affairs (AANSW) and the NSW Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (NSW CAPO) to deliver the Closing the Gap (CtG) Priority Reform 4 (PR4) implementation actions and Aboriginal Data Sovereignty and Governance (ADS&G) reform development work program (PR4 Program).
DCS will work with all NSW government agencies on key implementation actions on behalf of the partnership, to improve shared access to and shared decision-making regarding NSW Government-held data for Aboriginal communities.
The Project Officer is responsible for coordinating the secretariat functions of Shared Decision-Making Forums established under Closing the Gap Priority Reform 4.
The role supports effective governance, planning, and implementation activities while fostering strong relationships with both internal government stakeholders and external Aboriginal partners.
Working collaboratively across NSW government agencies, Aboriginal Community members, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), and peak bodies, the position helps ensure forums operate effectively, uphold shared decision-making principles, and contribute to improved outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

Salary Grade 07/08, with the base salary for this role starting at $116,981 base plus superannuation.
