Job summary

Department of Customer Service in New South Wales is seeking a Project Officer, Governance to coordinate secretariat functions for Shared Decision‑Making Forums under the Closing the Gap Priority Reform 4 program. The role supports governance, planning and implementation with internal and Aboriginal partners.

Hybrid working arrangement with two days on site per week,-state-of-the-art offices and wellbeing programs. Salary Grade 7/8, base salary starting at $116,981 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Aboriginal communities, organisations, or stakeholders; understanding the importance of respectful engagement.
• Strong organisational and time management skills; ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive and self-motivated; able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide secretariat support for Shared Decision‑Making Forums, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and papers, recording minutes, and maintaining action registers.
• Support planning and delivery of activities for Shared Decision‑Making Forums and Closing the Gap initiatives.
• Liaise with internal government stakeholders and Aboriginal organisations to coordinate meetings and support project activities.
• Prepare briefing notes, correspondence, presentations, governance papers, and other project documentation.
• Maintain project plans, schedules, risk and issue logs, and other artefacts for delivery and reporting.
