Job summary

CSIRO’s Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) in Geelong, Victoria, seeks an APLR Project Officer to coordinate the Biosecurity Research Unit’s part-life refit program. You will manage scheduling, procurement, and stakeholder engagement across scientists, engineers, consultants and contractors.

You will prepare reports, briefings and recommendations, identify risks, and support the transition to refurbished facilities while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex projects in regulated environments.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and risk logs.
• Experience managing procurement activities and contracts in a Commonwealth or similar setting.
• PM accreditation (AIPM, PMI, PRINCE2) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Biosecurity Research Unit involvement in the APLR program and monitor deliverables.
• Maintain schedules, action/issue registers, risk information, and governance docs.
• Serve as liaison between APLR Integration Manager and scientists, teams, and contractors.
• Coordinate information requests, reviews, and approvals ensuring compliance and user needs.
• Manage procurement and contract activities per CSIRO requirements.
• Support readiness, commissioning, and certification for refurbished facilities.
