Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a Project Officer to support delivery of small to medium IM/ICT work packages. You will apply project management methodologies, develop documentation and monitor milestones to ensure sustainable enterprise outcomes.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders, manage expectations and coordinate reporting using approved Queensland Health tools and processes. A strong customer service background and capability to learn ITIL/ServiceNow are essential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience delivering high quality customer service in a large complex environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience designing and coordinating small to medium projects, including planning, scheduling and tracking.

Job description

What you'll doAs the Project Officer, you will support and coordinate the delivery of specialised small to medium IM/ICT work packages, ensuring solutions are responsive to customer needs and sustainable within an enterprise environment. You will contribute to the successful delivery of projects by applying Queensland Health's project management methodologies and best practice guidelines, developing and maintaining project documentation, and monitoring progress against agreed milestones and objectives. You will support risk and issue management activities, assist in the development and quality assurance of project deliverables, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, strategies and architectural standards. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will foster effective communication, manage expectations and maintain productive relationships, while coordinating project reporting and artefacts through approved Queensland Health project management tools, processes and methodologies.About youWe are searching for someone who has:Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high quality customer service in a large complex environmentProven high level oral and written communication skills and a high-level ability to apply contemporary leadership principles to develop and maintain effective relationships within both the project team and external stakeholdersProven experience and high level knowledge to design and coordinate small to medium scale projects, including the planning, scheduling and tracking of project activities and deliverables, utilising available project management tools and methodologiesDemonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills and an ability to work unsupervised whilst coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilitiesDemonstrated ability or the ability to quickly learn ServiceNow and ITIL Service Management processes (primarily incident / problem / change / config management)Proven experience in the use of computers and software packages (eg MS Office, Visio, MS Project)Why work with us?Work alongside passionate professionals in a supportive and inclusive environment that values people and prioritises employee success and wellbeing.
