Job summary

Concentis is seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer - Dewatering to lead major dewatering and pumping projects within an underground mining operation. The role offers an 8/6 FIFO roster from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns, with responsibility for coordinating delivery alongside site teams and stakeholders.

You will demonstrate practical project leadership, strong safety focus, and the ability to resolve complex pumping and water management challenges in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Proven project leadership experience within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong dewatering and pumping experience is highly desirable.
• Underground mining experience would be advantageous.
• Refinery project experience will also be highly regarded.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong focus on safety, delivery and practical outcomes.

Job description

Project Mechanical Engineer - Dewatering

You will lead key projects supporting an underground mining operation, with a strong focus on dewatering and pumping systems. Working on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns, you will coordinate project delivery while working closely with site teams and stakeholders.

You will bring practical project leadership capability and ideally underground mining experience, particularly across dewatering and pumping. Experience in refinery environments will also be highly regarded, particularly where you have delivered projects involving complex pumping, water management or related infrastructure.
