Pinnacle Hire is hiring a Dewatering Technician / Civil Labourer based in Yatala to service Brisbane and Gold Coast projects. You will install, commission, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot dewatering systems in a hands-on field role, working with equipment, customers, and project teams to keep sites moving.

The ideal candidate will have experience in dewatering, plumbing, water treatment, and civil construction, with a practical, team-first approach and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dewatering, pumping, plumbing, water treatment, civil construction, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, hoses, pipework, valves, fittings, and water control systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission pumps, hoses, pipework, tanks, and associated equipment.
• Operate and monitor dewatering systems to control water.
• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on pumps and equipment.
• Diagnose hydraulic, plumbing, and operational faults and restore systems to service.
• Record water levels, equipment performance, and site data.

We're looking for a Dewatering Technician /Civil Labourer to join our team and play a critical role in keeping dewatering systems safe, reliable, and operating at their best. We're looking for self-motivated people who are serious about building a long-term career with a growing business and one of Australia's leading dewatering, water treatment, and pump hire teams.

Based in Yatala, this role services projects across the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions. This is a hands-on field role where you'll install, commission, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot dewatering systems, working with equipment, customers, and project teams to solve problems and keep sites moving.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Dewatering Technician /Civil Labourer, you'll be hands-on from setup through to shutdown.

Installing, connecting, and commissioning pumps, hoses, pipework, tanks, and associated equipment.

Operating and monitoring dewatering systems to maintain effective water control.

Carrying out preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on pumps and equipment.

Diagnosing hydraulic, operational, and equipment faults and restoring systems to service.

Completing plumbing and pipework installations, connections, and modifications.

Mobilising and demobilising equipment across project sites.

Inspecting equipment and identifying issues before they become costly problems.

Recording water levels, equipment performance, maintenance activities, and site data.

Working with customers, site teams, Workshop, and Operations to deliver reliable solutions.

Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment at all times.

Experience & Knowledge

Previous experience in dewatering, pumping, plumbing, water treatment, civil construction, or a similar industry.

Strong knowledge of pumps, hoses, pipework, valves, fittings, and water control systems.

Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, plumbing, or operational issues.

Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation.

Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

A commitment to safety, quality, and getting the job done right.

High levels of energy and a "can-do" attitude.

A practical, team-first approach.

Licences & Qualifications

Construction White Card

Relevant trade qualification in Plumbing, Water Industry Operations, or a related trade is highly regarded.

Experience with submersible or diesel-driven pumps, layflat hoses, suction lines, HDPE, tanks, manifolds, and valves is highly regarded.

Forklift, confined space, working at heights, or other relevant tickets are advantageous.

Current driver's licence.
