Job summary

Ivory Group is recruiting a Project Manager (Parks) for a local council in Sydney’s Upper North Shore. The role focuses on planning and delivering a broad portfolio of parks infrastructure projects, with lifecycle governance and strong stakeholder engagement.

The role is 12 months with potential to transition to permanent, offering a 35-hour week and flexible start/finish times. Prior Local Government tendering and contracts experience is highly regarded, with good career growth prospects.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering.
  • Local Government experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing tendering and contracts administration.
  • Project exposure across Parks, Open Space and Public Domain is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project management plans aligning with Council's framework.
  • Engage and manage consultants with design and contract management.
  • Manage a wide-ranging portfolio across lifecycle, initiation, development, construction and contracts supervision and administration.
  • Manage and communicate with a variety of stakeholders and working groups.

ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Join a local council located in the Upper North Shore of Sydney as a Project Manager (Parks). Local Government offer 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, and stability in contract roles with potential for to transition into a permanent role.


ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Project Manager (Parks), you maintain high performing client relationships and are responsible for the planning and delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects, in line with management strategy and framework. This will include project lifecycle management, reporting, construction, contracts supervision and administration to the agreed and scheduled time, cost and quality.


DUTIES.


  • Develop detailed project management plans aligning with Councils framework

  • Engage and manage consultants with design and contract management

  • Manage a wide-ranging portfolio of projects for the lifecycle, initiation, development, construction and contracts supervision and administration
  • Manage and communicate with a variety of Stakeholders and working groups


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.


  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction and/or Engineering

  • Previous experience in Local Government is highly desirable

  • Experience in managing tendering and contracts administration

  • Project exposure across Parks, Open Space and Public Domain is highly desireable
