Job summary

Queensland Glass seeks an experienced Project Manager - Glazing & Facades to lead the delivery of complex glazing and facade projects from planning through to completion at our Lytton, QLD site. You will manage timelines, budgets and resources, coordinate with subcontractors and clients, monitor KPI progress and ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

A tertiary degree in Construction/PM and strong contracts knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction/glazing/facades.
• Proven contracts management experience.
• Strong knowledge of glazing systems and facade installation techniques.
• Familiarity with building codes in Queensland and Australia.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and safe work practices on site.
• Desirable BIM and CAD software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule project timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets for glazing and facade projects.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and clients for seamless execution.
• Monitor progress against KPIs, timelines, and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation (specifications, drawings, risk assessments, compliance).
• Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders; manage changes in scope.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and Queensland Glass standards.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify contract specs.
• Manage variations, disputes and claims per contract terms.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and profitability.

About the role Queensland Glass is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Glazing & Facades to join our team on a full-time basis at our Lytton, QLD location. This is a strategic role that sits at the heart of our operations, overseeing the planning, execution and successful delivery of complex glazing and facade projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This position is integral to maintaining Queensland Glass's reputation for excellence in the construction and glazing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling project timelines, resource allocation and budgets for glazing and facade projects of varying complexity
• Managing project teams and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and clients to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitoring project progress against established KPIs, timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as required
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including specifications, drawings, risk assessments and compliance records
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders to provide regular project updates, manage expectations and address any concerns or changes to scope
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and Queensland Glass standards
• Conducting site inspections and quality audits to verify that work meets contractual specifications and industry standards
• Managing project variations, disputes and claims in accordance with contract terms
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability across projects

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management within the construction, glazing or facade industry
• Proven expertise in contracts management and understanding of construction contract terms and conditions
• Strong knowledge of glazing systems, facade installation techniques and building codes relevant to Queensland and Australia
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, teams and suppliers
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, including the ability to promote and implement safe work practices on site
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Relevant qualifications such as a tertiary degree in Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent professional certification (e.g. AIPM, CPM)
• Experience with budget management, cost control and financial reporting
• Familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) and CAD software is desirable
