Job description

Sabrands is an Australian-owned branded consumer products business operating across food, beverage and household cleaning categories.

We are looking for an organised, hands‑on Project Manager to coordinate new product development (NPD) and existing product development (EPD) projects from concept through to launch. This permanent part‑time role works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from our South Melbourne office.

Working across Brand, Product Development, Technical, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Sales, you will own the project plan and keep actions, approvals and timelines moving.

What you’ll do

Own project plans, timelines and critical paths for NPD and EPD projects, including new products, line extensions, reformulations, rebrands and export listings.

Lead cross‑functional project meetings and maintain a clear, accurate view of project status.

Identify roadblocks and delivery risks early, finding practical solutions or escalating them to the appropriate decisionmaker.

Coordinate samples, testing, specifications, artwork, packaging, trials, approvals and first production.

Keep contract manufacturers and suppliers on track with documentation, lead times and production requirements.

Coordinate retailer listing information, product data, barcodes and launch documentation.

Support project‑management systems and administer brand licensing registers, approvals, renewals and reporting.

What you’ll bring

At least two years’ experience managing or coordinating food and beverage NPD and EPD projects in FMCG.

Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers on trials, first production and packaging.

Knowledge of Australian retailer range review and product listing requirements.

Strong project planning, critical path and risk management capability.

An understanding of stage‑gate development, shelf life, specifications and artwork approvals.

Excellent organisation, attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.

Strong Excel and/or project management system capability.

Experience with licensing, export launches, household cleaning products or working in a smaller business would be highly regarded. Relevant tertiary qualifications or formal project management training are desirable but not essential.

This role will suit someone who is proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities and enjoys being close to the work. You will raise risks early, follow through on actions and help keep everyone aligned and accountable.

Work across a varied portfolio of food, beverage and household consumer brands.

Coordinate projects from initial concept through to launch.

Join a collaborative, growing Australian‑owned business.

Make a visible impact across the product portfolio.

If you have strong FMCG product‑development experience and know how to keep complex projects moving, we would love to hear from you.
