Job summary

Sharp and Carter is assisting a well-established FMCG manufacturer in Sydney by recruiting a Product Development Coordinator to support end-to-end projects, focusing on product renovation and continuous improvement, from concept to commercialisation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage timelines, develop specifications, liaise with suppliers, and assist with trials, scale-up, labeling, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple product development projects.

• Experience with retail/private label products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating product development projects from concept through to launch.
• Supporting product renovation, reformulation, and continuous improvement activities.

• Developing and maintaining product specifications and technical documentation.
• Liaising with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams throughout project delivery.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Product Development Coordinator to join their collaborative product development team.

About the Role

The Product Development Coordinator will support the delivery of end-to-end product development projects across a diverse portfolio of retailer-focused products. The role has a strong emphasis on product renovation and continuous improvement, while also supporting new product initiatives from concept through to commercialisation.

Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, meet customer expectations, and align with commercial and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating product development projects from concept through to launch

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
• Previous experience in product development within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting end-to-end NPD or product renovation projects
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Understanding of food manufacturing processes and product commercialisation
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
• Experience with retailer-facing products or private label development will be highly regarded
