Job summary

Piper Moss Constructions in Sydney is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead residential, remedial and strata projects from handover through to practical completion. You will manage programmes, budgets and subcontractors while maintaining strong client relations across the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Lower North Shore.

The role requires on-site presence, reading plans and cost reports, and excellent communication with owners and strata bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience running residential, remedial or strata construction projects in Sydney
• Ability read a programme and a cost report and identify inconsistencies
• Confident dealing with subcontractors, consultants, owners and strata committees
• Comfortable on site, not just desk work
• Current driver licence

Responsibilities

• Run multiple residential and remedial projects from start to handover
• Develop and manage project programme, monitor schedule and chase delays
• Forecast and report budgets, including cost variations
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, consultants, owners and strata committees
• Be the client's point of contact and handle difficult conversations
• Maintain site records, ITPs and quality checks
• Collaborate with site supervisors on safety and sequencing
• Close out defects, warranties and handover documentation

Job description

You would carry projects from handover through to practical completion: programme, budget, subcontractors and the client conversation. We are a family run builder, so the calls you make are the calls that get made.

Our work is residential building, extensions and renovations, and remedial and strata repair across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Lower North Shore.

What you would do

• Run multiple residential and remedial projects at once, start to handover
• Build and hold the programme, then chase it when a trade slips
• Manage the budget: forecast, cost report, and price variations honestly
• Engage and coordinate subcontractors, and hold them to scope
• Be the client's point of contact, including the difficult conversations
• Keep site records, ITPs and quality checks in order
• Work with the site supervisors on safety and sequencing
• Close out defects, warranties and handover documentation

What you need

• Experience running residential, remedial or strata construction projects in Sydney
• You can read a programme and a cost report and know which one is lying
• Confident with subcontractors, consultants, owners and strata committees
• Comfortable on site, not only behind a laptop
• Current driver licence
