Qualifications

• Australian citizenship is essential.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline.
• PMI PMP certification or equivalent.
• Strong risk governance and compliance experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.
• Experience delivering complex projects in regulated environments.
• Experience overseeing initiatives across science, engineering, research and natural resources.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent CAPEX projects across scope, cost, schedule and quality.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and reporting frameworks.
• Manage risk, governance, compliance and safety obligations.
• Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to stringent regulatory and operational standards.

We are partnering with a highly respected organisation in Southern Sydney operating within a highly regulated, safety-critical, scientific and engineering environment to recruit an experienced Project Manager.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

• End-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent, high-value CAPEX projects across scope, cost, schedule, and quality and compliance
• Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and reporting frameworks
• Managing risk, governance, compliance, and safety obligations
• Providing clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders
• Ensuring adherence to stringent regulatory and operational standards

About You

We are seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented Project Manager with proven experience delivering complex projects in highly regulated environments.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship is essential
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline
• Formal Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Strong capability in risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex interdependencies simultaneously
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of PMBOK framework
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g. TGA, ARPANSA or similar) highly regarded
• Experience overseeing project initiatives across science, engineering, research and natural resources
