Manpower Australia in Adelaide seeks an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering programs in a regulated environment. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, risk, governance and safety with a focus on technical excellence.

Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams, managing suppliers and subcontractors, delivering clear reporting, and mentoring engineers to build capability for high-impact programs in defence, maritime, or aerospace

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Formal project management and/or systems engineering qualifications desirable.
  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects in defence, maritime, aerospace, infrastructure, mining, or similarly regulated industries.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering programs within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. This role is responsible for managing engineering scope, schedule, budget, risk, and team performance while ensuring strong governance and compliance outcomes.

Depending on project requirements, the role may involve leading design projects, supporting maintenance programs, or managing a specialist engineering discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to successfully deliver project outcomes.
  • Manage engineering scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with governance, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Oversee subcontractors and external engineering resources.

Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects in defence, maritime, aerospace, infrastructure, mining, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Strong project management and leadership capability.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Solid understanding of engineering governance, configuration management, safety, and lifecycle management.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors.
