Job summary

Sizewell C project is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the on-site delivery of a major civil works package, overseeing a team of around 22 operatives and subcontractors. You will manage technical engineering and construction activities, ensuring safety, programme and quality standards.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will review drawings, handle submittals and TQs, coordinate subcontractors and maintain comprehensive project records.

Qualifications

• Experience on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with reinforced concrete and FRC.
• Experience with concrete structures, structural steel and cladding packages.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design information.
• Experience managing submittals, TQs and engineering documentation.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a major package of works at Sizewell C on behalf of our client.

The role will support the delivery of a critical desalination plant infrastructure package, including Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) works, concrete structures, structural steel, cladding and associated civil engineering works.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is a hands‑on site‑based position overseeing a workforce of approximately 22 operatives and subcontractors while managing the technical, engineering and construction aspects of the project.

Responsibilities

• Managing technical engineering documentation and submittals
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Requirements

• Previous experience working on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in reinforced concrete and Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC)
• Experience with concrete structures, structural steel and cladding packages
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design information
• Experience managing submittals, TQs and engineering documentation
• Strong site‑based delivery and coordination experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Existing Sizewell C induction is essential
• Must be comfortable working in a hands‑on site environment five days per week

This role would suit a strong Civils Project Engineer, Construction Engineer, Section Engineer or Project Engineer with extensive concrete and structural experience looking to work on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects.
