Job summary

Amida Recruitment is seeking a Site Manager to join a growing contractor on a large-scale build project in New South Wales. You will supervise a team of about 40 onsite, ensure safety, quality, and programme delivery, and report to the Senior Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of site supervision experience on industrial or commercial builds, with strong reading of drawings and excellent communication. This permanent, full-time role offers challenging work and career progression.

Qualifications

• Trade or building related qualification is required.
• 5–10 years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects.
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card.
• Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
• Complete daily site diary entries
• Review and manage key project issues
• Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
• Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
• Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
• Assist Senior Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
• Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

Job description

Extensive project pipeline in commercial, civil, and new build sectors. Delivering build package circa $40m+ Excellent career progression and culture, running whole site reporting to Senior PM Great opportunity to join a growing contractor on a renowned project with an attractive pipeline.

Working as part of the delivery team on a large-scale build package on a unique project, you will be responsible for safe, efficient, and accurate supervision of heavy plant and equipment to achieve project milestones.

The role is a Site Manager running a project circa $40m+ build package reporting into a Senior PM. You’ll be expected to manage quality, ensure that programme is being delivered to time and to the correct cost, you’ll be managing a workforce of circa 40 people on a large greenfield site.

Candidates need to have experience successfully delivering projects of this magnitude from inception to completion. Projects they work on are generally Industrial or Commercial. Ideally someone with Site Management experience of delivering new build projects with a Tier 1/2 Contractor.
