Job summary

Amida Group in NSW is seeking a driven Senior/Project Engineer to join its growing construction team. You will lead daily delivery of high-quality commercial projects, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specs and approved timelines.

The role requires a tertiary engineering qualification and 5–15+ years’ experience, with post-tension concrete knowledge and strong stakeholder management. A focus on safety, quality, and on-time completion is essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar.
• 5–15+ years’ experience.
• Experience in post-tension concrete structures.
• Strong knowledge of local council and regulatory standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery & Site Coordination: planning, coordinating and executing construction works; manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: oversee quality control; ensure WHS and regulatory compliance; support safety inspections.
• Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination: assist in progress claims and cost tracking; build relationships with internal and external stakeholders; assist Project Manager/Director.

Our client is a growing and leading construction group delivering high-quality commercial projects and have an expanding pipeline across NSW. They are seeking a driven and capable Senior / Project Engineer to join its growing construction team.

Current projects are of a structural refurbishment and partial new build nature in commercial sectors and having experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 would be ideal. Having delivered concrete structures as well as mechanical services would be ideal on projects up to $50m+. Having experience managing consultants and approvals as well as a design management skillset would be helpful.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

Project Delivery & Site Coordination

• Planning, coordination and execution of construction works
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site
• Monitoring construction programs, procurement schedules and project milestones
• Reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation
• Resolving technical issues and contributing to value engineering initiatives

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Overseeing quality control across site activities
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and statutory requirements
• Supporting site safety systems, inspections and reporting

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

• Supporting project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking
• Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Assisting the Project Manager/Project Director with day-to-day project administration as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar
• Minimum 5 - 15+ years’ experience
• Experience in post-tension concrete structures
• Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
• Strong project financial reporting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
