Worksforyou Australia is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead major construction projects from planning through to completion, delivering on time, within budget and to the highest safety, quality and environmental standards. You will drive planning, subcontractor management and regular reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Statement of required tertiary qualification in Building and Construction.
• Minimum 5–8 years' experience in project management for construction.
• Formal training in construction and strong leadership abilities.
• Experience using MS Office, document management and financial systems.
• Excellent organisational, project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage external consultants and subcontractors with assertive leadership.

• Monitor project performance against budget and objectives.

• Embed the Project Management Plan across the project.

Project Managers

Our client is a growing property and construction business delivering major projects across the region. They are seeking an experiencedProject Managersto take ownership of project delivery from planning through to completion.

This is a role for a confident leader who understands that successful projects come from clear planning, strong subcontractor management, accountable teams and a genuine commitment to safety, quality and budget control.

The opportunities

Reporting to the Director of Operations & Construction, you will be responsible for the overall management, performance and successful delivery of assigned projects. You will lead site delivery in partnership with Site Managers, Safety & Quality Officers, consultants and subcontractors, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.

We have multiple positions, in multiple sectors of the Construction Industry available for the right people.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, review and report on project performance against the approved budget and company objectives.
• Maintain strict quality control procedures, safety management systems and environmental controls.
• Establish, maintain and embed the Project Management Plan across the project.
• Define, authorise and assign project roles, responsibilities and authorities.
• Ensure project resources are adequate and appropriate to meet contract commitments.
• Conduct regular site safety walks and manage safety issues on site.
• Oversee subcontractor management and ensure compliance with the PMP.
• Support Site Managers and team members to deliver the project and packages of works.
• Monitor and review performance measures across financial, programme, safety, quality and client satisfaction.
• Procure trades and materials in line with the project programme.
• Run regular site meetings with designers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Train and mentor junior staff to support career progression.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to solve problems and keep momentum.

About you

You will be an experienced Project Manager who leads with clarity, accountability and respect. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, holding subcontractors to account and supporting your team to perform at their best.

You will bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Building and Construction.
• A minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in a similar project management role.
• Formal training in construction.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, document management and financial management systems.
• Strong organisational, project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage the performance of external consultants and subcontractors.
• Assertive leadership with the ability to build and retain positive working relationships.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, maturity and sound judgement.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with competing priorities.
• A reputable attitude and openness to continuous development.
