Job summary

Aurizn is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple Defence projects within Aurizn’s Integrated Electromagnetic Warfare Program (IEWP). You will work with customers and multi-disciplinary engineering teams on-site at DSTG Edinburgh to plan and deliver software and research focused capabilities for the Australian Defence Force.

This role suits someone with a background in software delivery, modelling & simulation, or electromagnetic warfare, and requires the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science or related field is required.
• Postgraduate project management certifications are highly regarded.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary engineering in a Defence setting.
• Familiarity with ASDEFCON templates and Defence contracting.
• Experience or familiarity with EM warfare, modelling or test & evaluation is desirable.
• Experience in DSTG or broader Defence industry is highly regarded.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple client-side Defence projects.
• Work with clients and industry to define tasks for engineering teams.
• Report progress to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans.

About The Role

Due to rapid growth and a strong pipeline of client projects, we are currently looking for a Project Manager to support the delivery of several projects within Aurizn’s Integrated Electromagnetic Warfare Program (IEWP). As part of this role, you will work closely with customers and multi-disciplinary engineering teams on-site at DSTG Edinburgh to plan and deliver software and research focused capabilities for the Australian Defence Force. This role would suit someone with a background in software delivery, synthetic test & evaluation, modelling & simulation, or electromagnetic warfare.

This varied role and would see you take on a range of tasks including:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple client-side technical Defence projects.
• Work closely with clients and industry stakeholders to understand requirements and define tangible tasks for engineering teams to deliver against.
• Report on project and individual team progress to clients and internal business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
• Produce, review and deliver Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) documents.
• Identify risks and issues and apply mitigation/control strategies.

About you

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
• Post graduate Project Management certifications are highly regarded (e.g. PMI CAPM/PPM, AIPM, etc..)
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a Defence setting
• Familiarity with the ASDEFCON suite of templates
• Experience or familiarity with electromagnetic warfare, modelling & simulation, or test & evaluation fundamentals is desirable
• Experience working within DSTG or broader Defence industry is highly regarded
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
