Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty in Australia seeks a permanent Group level Project Accountant to oversee financials for multiple projects. The role covers invoicing, WIP, forecasting, and cash flow management, with hybrid flexibility in Sydney or Melbourne.

You will partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders to improve reporting, budgets and financial health across the project portfolio. This is a hands-on, multi-project accounting role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in project accounting - ideally in a professional services firm - landscape architecture, design, engineering or construction is highly regarded
• Strong skills in project invoicing, WIP, project forecasting and accounts receivable
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines
• An effective business partner with the ability to build collaborative and effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process client, contractor and supplier invoices in line with agreed project terms
• Set up billing terms for new projects and manage WIP, fee forecasts and billing schedules
• Monitor project financial health and identify underperforming projects supporting corrective action
• Contribute to regular financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis, and support the annual group budget
• Produce collection forecasts and support accounts receivable and timely cash collection
• Maintain compliance with internal financial standards, processes and timesheet requirements
