Job summary

6Points on the Gold Coast is seeking a Project Engineer to own engineering delivery for a package of works on a major greenfield road project. You’ll take the project from early setup through to handover, coordinating earthworks, drainage, pavements and bridges with the site team.

You will mentor junior site engineers, drive inspections and testing, and manage subcontractors, ensuring programs and quality are maintained on a high-profile Queensland contract.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil, construction or transport engineering.
• Contractor-side project engineering experience on roads, bridges or major civil works.
• Current construction induction card and a valid driver’s licence.
• Experience on TMR projects and MRTS specifications.
• Bridge or structures delivery and subcontractor/ITP management.

A national contractor has just won a major new high speed dual carriageway on the northern Gold Coast, a multi-bridge road build that is part of South East Queensland's biggest road infrastructure program. They are looking for a Project Engineer to own engineering delivery for a package of the works and help take it from early set-up through to handover.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop construction methodologies, staging and temporary works with the site team
• Run design reviews, RFIs, survey and quality planning
• Manage subcontractors, quantities, cost and program, and keep progress on track
• Mentor site engineers and drive inspections, testing and defect close-out through to handover
