Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) is recruiting on behalf of a head contractor for a Site Engineer - ITS in South East Queensland. The role focuses on installation, integration, testing and handover of intelligent transport systems across road and rail environments.

Ideal candidates hold a related engineering degree and 2–5 years of site ITS experience, with current induction and a valid licence. Relocation packages are available to support winning candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in electrical, electronic, communications, systems or civil engineering.
• 2–5 years' site engineering experience in ITS, communications, electrical or OT.
• Current construction induction card and a valid driver's licence.
• Ability to obtain project-specific rail, site and medical competencies.
• Contractor-side experience with work packs, RFIs, ITPs, subcontractor coordination and progress measurement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work packs for pits, conduits, poles, cabinets, power, fibre, field devices and civil works.
• Coordinate AFC drawings, equipment, configuration, network, authority and traffic-access requirements.
• Verify installation, cable, termination, labelling, earthing and calibration records.
• Support point-to-point, functional, integration and site-acceptance testing.
• Maintain asset, configuration, red-line, test and commissioning information for handover.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Site Engineer - ITS to support installation, integration, testing and handover of intelligent transport systems within road and transport environments.
