Glencore Technology in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Brisbane team. You will be the single point of contact for minor vendor packages, overseeing preliminary engineering, detailed design, procurement, fabrication, QA/QC, testing, and delivery to site.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 5+ years in heavy industries with strong vendor coordination and EPC experience; cross-functional collaboration and travel to vendor

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in minerals processing, oil & gas, EPCM, or other heavy industries.
• Familiarity with packaged systems design, equipment integration, and vendor coordination.
• Experience with EPC contracts is highly regarded.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and transglobal teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and planning ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead package engineering projects across design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Own and manage the Vendor Data Schedule.
• Manage technical queries with vendors and support design reviews.
• Interface with EPCM contractors during execution phases.
• Monitor schedules, costs, change management and risk management for package scopes.
• Support procurement, logistics, and construction activities to ensure delivery and site installation.
• Undertake occasional international travel to vendor premises.

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our Brisbane team. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be the single point of contact for minor vendor packages, overseeing preliminary engineering, detailed design, procurement, fabrication, QA/QC, testing, and delivery to site.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead package engineering projects across design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation.
