Job summary

Glencore Technology in Brisbane, QLD, Australia, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead package engineering across design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation. You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary and transglobal teams, ensuring design compliance and managing the Vendor Data Schedule, while liaising with EPCM contractors during execution phases.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 5+ years in heavy industries, with EPC contracts experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in minerals processing, oil & gas, EPCM, or heavy industries.
• Experience with packaged systems design and vendor coordination.
• Experience with EPC contracts is highly regarded.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and transglobal teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead package engineering projects across design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and installation.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Own and manage the Vendor Data Schedule.
• Manage technical queries with vendors and support design reviews.
• Interface with EPCM contractors during execution phases.
• Monitor schedules, costs, change management and risk management for package scopes.
• Support procurement, logistics, and construction activities to ensure delivery and site installation.
• Occasional international travel to vendor premises.
