Job summary

Built is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Marsden Park data centre project in Sydney. You will coordinate technical and operational delivery, work with project, design, commercial and site teams, and ensure work is safe, efficient and meets design intent.

You will drive coordination, manage technical docs and approvals, collaborate with consultants and subcontractors, and help mentor graduates while maintaining momentum across interfaces.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical or complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, buildability, quality systems and engineering documentation.
• Confidence working with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical documentation, RFIs, shop drawings and approvals to keep work fronts progressing.
• Partner with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve design and construction challenges.

Job description

Take the next step in your engineering career on one of Sydney's most significant data centre projects. At Built, you'll play a key role in delivering complex, technically challenging work while being supported by experienced project leaders who will help you grow into a senior engineering position.

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you'll be part of the team delivering our major data centre project at Marsden Park. Working closely with project, design, commercial and site teams, you'll help coordinate the technical and operational aspects of delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. In this role you will:

• Drive engineering coordination to ensure construction activities align with design intent, program objectives and project milestones
• Manage technical documentation, RFIs, shop drawings and approvals to keep work fronts progressing
• Partner with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve design and construction challenges
• Support procurement activities, material lead times and subcontractor coordination across key project packages
• Champion quality, safety and continuous improvement while helping mentor emerging engineers and graduates
  

Success in this role will come from your ability to anticipate issues, build strong relationships and maintain momentum across multiple project interfaces in a fast-paced environment.
