Job summary

CGC Recruitment seeks a Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a high-end Newstead residential development in Brisbane. The project comprises 3 basement levels and 11 storeys of premium apartments, now under construction with completion scheduled for late 2028.

You will work with an experienced Project Manager, Site Manager and commercial team from early stages through to completion, coordinating subcontractors, reviewing drawings, RFIs, procurement, programming and QA/ITPs, while

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Engineer on commercial or residential builders.
• Experience on multi-storey apartment or complex commercial projects.
• Strong technical and construction knowledge.
• Relevant Construction Management, Engineering or Building qualification.
• Good communication and subcontractor coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Handle RFIs, design coordination and resolve construction issues.
• Procurement and subcontractor package coordination.
• Support programming and short-term planning.
• QA, ITPs and project documentation.
• Assist site and project teams to meet programme, quality and safety targets.

Job description

An established Brisbane builder is seeking a Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a high-end residential development in Newstead.

The project comprises 3 basement levels and 11 storeys of premium apartments and has recently commenced construction, with completion scheduled for late 2028.

Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, Site Manager and commercial team, you’ll be involved from the early stages of the build and see the project right through to completion.

The Role As Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Coordination of subcontractors, consultants and suppliers
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• RFIs, design coordination and resolving construction issues
• Procurement and subcontractor package coordination
• Supporting programming and short-term planning
• QA, ITPs and project documentation
• Assisting the site and project teams to ensure programme, quality and safety targets are achieved

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous Project Engineer experience with a commercial or residential builder
• Experience on multi-storey apartment or complex commercial projects
• Strong technical and construction knowledge
• Relevant Construction Management, Engineering or Building qualification
• Good communication and subcontractor coordination skills
• A desire to take ownership and progress your career within a reputable builder
