Job summary

BESIX Watpac in Adelaide is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Adelaide Airport infrastructure upgrade programme known as Project Flight. You will coordinate construction activities, contribute to design improvements and oversee tendering and budgeting processes.

You will promote safety and quality, communicate with stakeholders, and report progress at site meetings. The ideal candidate holds a Degree/Diploma in construction, can work autonomously and perform under pressure.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in building/construction or related field.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships at all levels of the business.
• Autonomous working style with initiative, sound reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
• High level of professionalism, maturity and candour in daily work.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to a range of problems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are implemented per plans, designs and specifications.
• Contribute to improvements to existing designs.
• Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders.
• Assist with preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
• Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the site manager or project manager and attend site meetings.
