Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Project Engineer to support Adelaide Airport’s Project Flight upgrade. The role focuses on safety leadership, construction engineering coordination, and design interpretation to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities include budgeting support, tender oversight, and ensuring OH&S and environmental compliance on site. The successful candidate will work autonomously within a dynamic project team and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in building/construction or related field.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Autonomous worker with initiative and sound reasoning.
• Ability to deliver results under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive company safety policies and ensure a safe workplace at all times.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, OH&S and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
• Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to align with plans and specifications.
• Interpret designs for construction implementation.
• Contribute to improvements to existing designs.
• Arrange and oversee tendering processes.
• Assist with site construction budgets and reports.
• Monitor construction progress and report to site/project managers.
