Job summary

Gordon Brothers Industries (GBI) in Sydney seeks a Project Engineer to lead industrial refrigeration and process cooling projects across key sectors. You will manage deliverables, coordinate installation and commissioning, and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget execution.

You will collaborate with experts to design innovative energy-transfer systems that support operational performance and decarbonisation goals, traveling to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Project engineering or project management experience within industrial, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, controls, or related industries.
• Strong technical problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting installation, commissioning, or maintenance activities.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to travel to customer and project sites when required.
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver industrial refrigeration and sustainability-focused projects.
• Support the design, installation, commissioning, and handover of refrigeration systems.
• Drive project outcomes to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Coordinate internal and external project resources to achieve key milestones.
• Monitor project financial performance and maintain accurate forecasting.
• Provide regular project updates to customers and senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Champion a strong safety culture across all project activities.
