Job summary

Zinfra is seeking a Project Engineer based in Canberra to support tendering and delivery for key client Evoenergy. The role covers technical management across the project management framework, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

You will develop scopes, coordinate tasks, liaise with stakeholders, and integrate projects within safety and quality standards to achieve high‑quality outcomes on time.

Qualifications

• Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex project challenges.
• Proven planning experience to support scheduling and resource allocation.
• Strong MS Office reporting and documentation capabilities.
• Technical qualification or equivalent industry experience in engineering or trade.
• Understanding of project management processes and their practical application.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Experience collaborating with teams to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to site safety and environmental plans and promote Zinfra's safety culture.
• Collate data for HSE reporting and participate in risk workshops to mitigate hazards.
• Manage portions of large projects or entire small, low-risk projects while developing scopes.
• Review design drawings and specs to define scope and provide technical support.
• Prepare subcontract packages, oversee subcontractors, and contribute to procurement strategies.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and support recovery planning and records.
• Implement risk controls and escalate realized risks to management.
• Prepare estimates to complete activities and develop progress reports for stakeholders.
• Engage with stakeholders and contribute to communication plans and project integration.
