Job summary

Zinfra is seeking an Electrical Engineer at the Hume Depot in Canberra to support delivery and maintenance of electrical infrastructure for Evoenergy, working with field crews and project teams. You will design, inspect, and commission electrical assets, and collaborate with operations to ensure safety and reliability.

The role involves reviewing drawings and specs, developing scopes and construction methods, and contributing to continuous improvement while supporting project delivery and client

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience supporting electrical infrastructure projects and maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and regulations.
• Strong communication with operations teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture across engineering and operations.
• Provide technical advice to project teams and field crews.
• Review designs, drawings and specifications for compliance.
• Develop engineering scopes, work packs and construction methodologies.
• Support fault investigations and root cause analyses.
• Assist commissioning, testing and handover of assets.
• Manage engineering documents and technical reports.
• Engage with stakeholders to resolve issues and support delivery.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
