Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our operations team in Toowoomba, Queensland. This permanent, full-time role supports a long-term industrial maintenance and operations contract, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

You will collaborate with a high-performing site team to deliver safe, efficient project outcomes. This position is based in Toowoomba and offers opportunities to build strong client relationships while contributing to safety, quality and

• Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Australian recognised).
• Site-based engineering experience in mining, energy, resources or heavy industry.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support project functions including Quality, Technical, Planning and Commercial.
• Assist in development and management of schedules, budgets and execution plans.
• Prepare and maintain project reporting, data and commercial docs.
• Support tender preparation and project delivery activities.
• Attend client and contractor meetings with practical engineering solutions.
• Contribute to safe, quality project delivery and maintenance work.

Job description

Monadelphous is seeking a motivated and driven Project Engineer to join our operations team in a permanent, full-time position based in Toowoomba. Supporting a long-term industrial maintenance and operations contract, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with a high-performing site team and build strong relationships with a key client. Working Monday to Friday, with approximately one Saturday per month, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.

This position is suited to candidates who are currently based in Toowoomba.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and support key project functions including Quality, Technical, Planning and Commercial activities.

What you will bring

• Degree qualification in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (Australian recognised).
• Experience working in a site-based engineering role within mining, energy, resources, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
