Prospex Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for our market-leading client in Sydney, NSW. You will drive BMS/Automation projects, coordinating installation, programming, testing and commissioning activities on-site with a cross-functional team.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of hands-on project engineering experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related trade.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading technical/engineering projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent technical abilities across electrical/electronic/mechanical systems.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering or trade field.

Responsabilités

• Design, plan, install, program, test and commission BMS/Automation systems.
• Read specs, negotiate scope items, prepare point lists and graphics.
• Coordinate site meetings with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers and subs.

The opportunity:

Due to company growth we are seeking experienced and ‘hands on’ Project Engineers to join our teams in Sydney, NSW. You will be equipped with the technical knowledge to showcase your skills in driving forward our exciting BMS/Automation projects. Your day will be challenging, fast paced and varied. No day will be the same and you will be expected to have the confidence and experience to thrive in this environment with your proven success in running similar projects.

Some of your duties will include but not limited to:

Design, plan, and coordinate the installation, program, test and commissioning of systems.

Reading specs, negotiating on scope items, creating points lists, DDC software and graphics

Liaise with and run site meetings with architects, consultants, mechanical contractors, suppliers and sub-contractors for the successful and timely delivery of projects.

Key skills which will see you succeed in this role:

At least 2 years’ demonstrated experience driving forward technical /engineering projects to successful completion

Strong leadership and communication skills

Outstanding technical abilities

Commitment to quality and timely delivery of projects

Preferably be tertiary qualified in a relevant engineering or trade field (electrical, electronics, mechanical, mechatronics)
