Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join the Global Mining Major Projects Team. You will support the Pinjarra Residue Filtration Phase 2 Project, a $250M brownfield capital program, across construction to closeout.

The role is predominantly on site in Pinjarra with a minimum of 3 days per week on site and a preference for 5 days, with some flexibility to work from the Booragoon office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years total engineering experience.
• 2+ years of Project Engineering experience after completing a graduate program.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery from construction through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and site-based execution activities.
• Assist with scope development, planning and work package delivery.
• Track actions, risks, schedules and project performance metrics.
• Support reporting, forecasting and stakeholder communication.
• Contribute to project documentation and technical queries.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and construction management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers and stakeholders.

Rate: $90-$105 per hour + Super

Deliver a $250M Major Capital Project Chandler Macleod is seeking a Project Engineer to join a Global Mining Major Projects Team supporting the Pinjarra Residue Filtration Phase 2 Project, a major brownfield capital project valued at approximately $250 million.

Working within an embedded project delivery team, you will support construction execution, commissioning activities and project closeout across a significant refinery expansion program through to early 2028.

This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who has progressed beyond a graduate program and gained experience delivering capital projects within mining, minerals processing, refining, manufacturing, energy or heavy industrial environments.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work confidently within a live operational plant environment
