Job summary

Lendlease Victoria is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and help deliver a long-term project in the North-Western Suburbs of Melbourne. You will play an integral role in managing subcontractors and suppliers, developing and maintaining construction programs, and implementing the project procurement strategy to ensure quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years on-site construction delivery experience, a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, and strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of construction industry experience, preferably on large-scale projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage construction programs and schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to delivery milestones.
• Oversee procurement, cost controls and quality plans.
• Enforce Health & Safety and EHS requirements on site.
• Review subcontractor claims and variations.

Lendlease Victoria is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team to help deliver a long-term project in the North-Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

In this position, you will play an integral role in managing subcontractors and suppliers to deliver a successful construction project. This includes developing and maintaining construction programs, implementing the project procurement strategy, value engineering, managing quality and ensuring high levels of Health and Safety at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and manage medium and short-range construction programs.
• Design management and coordination.
• Client management and liaison.
• Procurement of tender packages and preparation of subcontract agreements.
• Review and sign-off of subcontractor claims and variations.
• Preparation of cost forecasts and manage cost controls/reporting for designated work areas.
• Implementation of project EHS and quality plans and project management plan requirements.

About You

• 3-6 (or more) years' experience in the construction industry, preferably on large-scale construction projects.
• Must be able to travel to the North-Western Suburbs of Melbourne
• Previous on-site construction delivery experience, looking after major trade packages.
• Degree qualification in a relevant field of study (Engineering, Construction Management etc).
• Clear and articulate communication skills coupled with an ability to manage stakeholders, both internally and externally.
