Job summary

Hilton Foods ANZ is seeking talented engineers to join the Project Management Office in Melbourne and Brisbane. You will lead capital, engineering, automation and operational improvement projects from business case through to handover, delivering hands-on results on site across manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, HSE, IT and Finance to ensure successful outcomes, manage budgets and stakeholders, and drive safety, efficiency and sustainability

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with strong project experience.
• 3–5+ years' engineering/project experience, ideally in manufacturing / FMCG.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers and system integrators.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering and capital projects from concept to completion.
• Develop scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules and project plans.
• Work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, HSE, IT and Finance to deliver successful projects.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and automation partners.
• Review designs and equipment proposals to ensure safe, practical and maintainable solutions.
• Manage project costs, risks, timelines and governance.
• Lead installation, commissioning and operational handover.
• Identify opportunities to improve capacity, efficiency, reliability, safety, waste and energy use.
• Get hands-on with automation projects involving PLCs, HMI, SCADA, robotics, machine vision and industrial systems.

These are newly created opportunities to join the Project Management Office team for ANZ. the roles will be located in Melbourne - Truganina and the other in Brisbane - Heathwood, you will take the lead on a range of capital, engineering, automation and operational improvement projects across manufacturing operations. From developing the business case through to installation, commissioning and handover, you'll have real ownership of your projects and see your ideas become reality.

Key responsibilities

Lead multiple engineering and capital projects from concept to completion

Develop scopes, business cases, budgets, schedules and project plans

Work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, HSE, IT and Finance to deliver successful projects

Manage contractors, suppliers and automation partners

Review designs and equipment proposals to ensure safe, practical and maintainable solutions

About you

Engineering degree – Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Automation or similar

3–5+ years' engineering/project experience, ideally in manufacturing / FMCG

Experience delivering projects from concept through to commissioning

Strong technical and commercial understanding

Experience working with contractors, suppliers and system integrators

Good understanding of project budgets, CAPEX and financial management

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
